Pool construction types 04 sealed concrete

This design is suitable for the renovation of old concrete pools and for the new building. Unlike the “Weißen Wanne” (see post waterproof concrete) the concrete itself has no sealing function. Sealing is provided by a system on the inside of the pool. The components are matched to each other. This affects the adhesion to the subsoil and to each other. The coordination between the materials and the resistance to chlorine is secured too. Of course, the combination of the system is possible with waterproof concrete. The chemical attack on the concrete is made impossible by the seal.

On the (Pool-) border looked

If we let it flow! Is there a reason, think about this little "surge water piping"? No later than, if you can convert these ideas into cash. Because of the surge of water transport in an overflow channel and a slope line is pure waste of money. For simplicity, we assume the basin from the last post and expect times with these values.

The miller his pool

It was once a miller, was poor, but he had a large outdoor swimming pool. Now it happened, that he came to speak to the King, and to make himself appear, he said to him,: “I have a pool, the sun and water can spin into gold.” The king said to the miller: “This is an art, pleases me well, if your planning office is so clever, as you say, so bring it tomorrow in my castle, I will put her to the test.”

The lazy river and its pitfalls!

The adventure channel is a very commonly used in public attraction experience pools. The rotating water flow makes visitors much fun. A common mistake is, because of the rotation, to have to limit the pool with a wall. The assumption, that a particularly large amount of water would flow into the overflow channel in this area, will be refuted in the article. Published in the magazine 07/2018 the newspaper of the Federal Association of German Schwimmmeister "The swimming pool and its staff".

2011 … 2012 Kükelhaus-school pool with hydraulic movable floor

The Kükelhaus School in Magdeburg, the building was 2009 built. For the children and young people a pool was designed with height-adjustable floor. As a base, a concrete construction should serve, which are lined in the system "Myrthapools" and with a height movable floor (Hubboden) should be equipped.

2011 Movable bridge over the competition pool in Saransk

Saransk is the capital of the Russian republic of Mordovia. Already 2010 the city has begun, to invest in infrastructure. Right next to the Ice Palace and the Sports Stadium, the palace of water sports was built. After the date of the opening was postponed due to delays in the other trades, was planned for December 2011 the completion of the bridge over the competition pool with a width of 25 meters. The pool itself is built with a length of approximately 51,50m, so that the end position of the bridge results in a pool length of 50,20m. With a displacement of the bridge to 25 Meter gets you 2 separate pools with a length of 25 Meter. These pools can be used differently in training and competition.

Saransk is the capital of the Russian republic of Mordovia. Already 2010 the city has begun, to invest in infrastructure. Right next to the Ice Palace and the Sports Stadium, the palace of water sports was built. During the construction phase it became clear, that it would be difficult, meet the opening date. Because the inauguration of Russian President should be made, absolute deadline loyalty was required of all trades. My job was it, to guide the Russian technicians and to secure the appointment.

2009 … 2010 Hydraulic design and construction management of outdoor pools Tauern SPA

The village Kaprun, in the middle of the Austrian Alps 2010 expanded its tourism offer by the hotel thermal spa "Tauern SPA". The terrain, on which the Hotel Therme was built, is called alluvial. The structural engineer had to take this into consideration and has decided to, to let build the pools only at a time, when the largest forces already rests on the foundations. He has therefore chosen a variable and possibly weather-independent construction for the pools. The very precise requirements of architects have been implemented through a redesign of the overflow gutter and of the hydraulic connections. The stone-covered gutter saves energy, especially in the mountains.
